INDEPENDENCE DAY

When I wake up on August 15 and the radio croons
“Ae mere watan ke logo, zara aankh mein bhar lo paani, jo shaheed huye hai unki, zara yaad karo kurbaani” it all seems a bit too much. As another Independence Day dawns, the scene looks all too familiar for the valley.

Those days were the days of innocence. It’s really wondering whether a kid born today has the same passion regarding Independence Day as before. And it won’t be surprising that the students of RKK do believe in the celebration of Independence Day with the full gusto for patriotic songs and stage performances acting of our very famous National leaders. A special assembly was organized on 15th August, 2011 for the students of class V A, B, C where they sung some patriotic songs on “Desh Bhakti” and small acts were enacted too.

On the other hand how can our students of Pre-Primary can lag behind? The students of Class Prep A, B, C also organized a special assembly on 11th August, 2011 where they participated in the choir and dance performance. This was a good exposure to the students of the different age groups to understand the meaning and to give the heartfelt feelings of patriotism.
