INTER SCHOOL SCIENCE ENVIRONMENT AND CURRENT AFFAIRS QUIZ COMPETITION

Science, Technology, Society and Environment education originates from the Science Technology and Society Movement in Science education. In the view of Science education, students are encouraged to engage in issues pertaining to the impact of science on everyday life and make responsible decisions about how to address such issues. To understand scientific developments in their cultural, economic, political and social contexts and in making science accessible and meaningful to all the students-and most significantly, engaging them in real world issues, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur, organized an Inter School Rajmata Krishna Kumari Science Environment and Current Affairs Quiz-2011.

There were about 13 esteemed outstation teams and 5 local teams in total who participated from different elite schools such as D.P.S. Jodhpur, St. Paul’s Jodhpur, Mayo College Boys’ School Ajmer, Mayo Girls’ School Ajmer, Mayoor School Ajmer, IIS Jaipur, D.P.S. Jaipur, MGD Girls’ School Jaipur, Daly College Indore, SMS Jaipur, LKS Gotan, MMPS Udaipur etc.The chief Guest for the ocassion was Dr. Narendra Kumar Jain, DRDO Jodhpur.

The coveted Sidharth Bhandari Trophy was won by IIS, Jaipur. The speaker for the morning was Mrs. Seema Baxi. The zeal and enthusiasm of the participants year after year invigorates the staff and students and lends them the impetus to maintain their pace and broaden their horizon in the quest for knowledge and perfection.
