CODE AND REGULATION
It is mandatory for both the parents and the students to abide
by all the instructions failing which the school authorities will
be compelled to take disciplinary action against the offender. This
could include suspension from the school.
The following practices will lead to strict disciplinary action
• Disfiguring or damaging school property.
• Bunking classes or assessments.
• Bunking school.
• Rude and arrogant behaviour with any member of the staff
or with fellow students.
• Using derogatory language
• Littering school campus
• Damage to library books
• Scribbling or writing on the uniform
• Disrespect to school uniform code
• Carrying cell phones, i-pods, laptops, pen drives etc to
the school.
UNIFORM
• Students have to come to school neatly dressed in proper
uniform with clean shoes and tidy hair.
• Students are not allowed to bring/wear any fancy or expensive
jewellery to school.
• The school does not approve of henna(mehendi) and nail polish
which looks out of place with school uniform.
• Students may wear home clothes to class on their birthdays
ONLY.
BIRTHDAYS
• Children are not allowed to bring anything except toffees
for distribution among classmates, friends and teachers. They cannot
bring any cakes, gifts etc to school for friends or teachers. On
teacher’s birthday they may give them cards only and no gifts
are allowed.
• Instead of spending on sweets, donate a book to the library
on your birthday- scores of children will share this gift for a
long time.
MONEY
Students, both day scholars and residential, are strictly forbidden
to bring money to school. Any money found will be confiscated and
used for social services.
ATTENDANCE/LEAVE
• On no account may any student leave the school premises
without the permission of the Principal or teacher on duty.
• Leave must be applied for in the format at the back of the
students’diary.
• Students must be very regular in attending school. Pupils
who have been absent from classes must have the reason entered in
the leave application filled in by the parent or guardian.
• Absence from classes in order to study is disapproved of.
• Half day leave must be applied for in advance. No student
will be permitted to leave the school premises without the permission
slip from the office.
• Repeated absences without leave for more than 10 consecutive
days renders the pupil liable to have her name struck off the roll.
Re-admission , if granted, will be done on the payment of a re-admission
fee of Rs 500.
• All students are expected to be present on the opening and
closing day of the school session. Those absent must present a medical
certificate because of sickness and testmonial for other reasons.
• All students must make it a point to be present at school
functions and attendance is essential for all activities and games.
Students will not be excused from games without a medical certificate.
EXAMINATION
• An academic report is sent to parents four times in an
academic year. In addition to half yearly and annual examinations,
two other assessments are made on a continuous basis of routine
class tests, assignments and projects.
• Annual Promotion Examinations are conducted in March and
the new session begins from April. However, the school year is divided
into two terms with summer vacation in May-June.
• Children who are ill should not be sent to the school to
attend the classes or take tests, ill health affects pupil’s
score and may be contagious. Tests and examinations will be adjusted
if the leave application is accompanied by a doctor’s certificate.
• Parents/guardians must attend parent-teacher meeting held
after each assessment/examination
• Every report must be signed by the parent or guardian and
returned by the student to her class teacher the day after it is
given to students.
NORMS OF PROMOTION
• Promotion is decided on the basis of marks obtained throughout
the year combined with the marks of the Final examinations.
• The general criterion for promotion is that a student should
have grasped the subject matter of her present class sufficiently
well to follow the subject in the higher class easily. A percentage
of 40 in aggregate marks of the year’s average must be obtained
in each subject.
• Only those pupils who have passed in all subjects finally
have a right to be promoted to a higher class.
• Promotions are decided at a staff meeting and hence the
results are final and can not be reconsidered.
